Offre de thèse ED MEGEP: Experimental investigation on the interactions between freestream turbulence and an isolated bluff body
Host laboratory: The PhD will be hosted at IMFT in the Aerodynamics, Wakes and Interactions (ASI in French) team, and will have a dedicated wind tunnel (S2). In addition to scientific advising from the ASI team members, the candidate will have access to IMFT’s internal technical support groups including design and fabrication, and signal processing and imaging to complete their PhD.
Candidate profile: You must have completed a Master’s degree by October 2025, with knowledge in fluid mechanics, signal processing, and/or turbulence. Since the present investigation is mainly experimental, enjoying practical work; and experience in experimental aerodynamics and/or wind tunnel experiments, programming (Matlab or Python) and data processing are required. A good standard of written and spoken English is necessary.

Income: The monthly gross salary is 2200€. This salary can be supplemented by paid teaching opportunities (up to 64 hours per academic year).
