Phd: Experimental and numerical study of the transition from bedload transport to suspension transport in sediment-laden Couette flow
Fluid flows carrying particles are found in many industrial and environmental applications. In this thesis, we focus specifically on sediment transport regimes with the aim of characterising and predicting the mechanisms related to scouring
Applicant expected skills:
Engineering student, or graduate with a Master’s degree, and solid knowledge of fluid
mechanics, wishing to carry out a thesis project with both experimental and numerical components. Knowledge (training) or experience (internship) in the field of particle-laden flows would be highly appreciated.
