Two-phase turbulent combustion and supercritical combustion

Combustion in most propulsion engines uses liquid fuels and relies on two phase flow combustion in turbulent flows. This is one of the major topics in the PSC group. The members of the group have authored a textbook on turbulent combustion [http://elearning.cerfacs.fr/combust...]. This is also the main topic in the INTECOCIS ERC project [http://intecocis.inp-toulouse.fr]

PSC research include studies of rocket, aircraft, helicopter or car engines.
The example below shows typical simulations of H2/O2 high pressure combustion in the engine of Ariane 5 (PhD of A. Ruiz).
