Until 10 years ago, hardly anyone had heard of methane hydrates. But now these chemical compounds in the sea floor are considered to be a huge potential energy source of the future. However, Technical and environmental issues are numerous. This talk presents a power generation system with low carbon dioxide emission. This system simultaneously performs power generation, methane hydrate utilization, and carbon dioxide capture and storage.
